Discouraged!

I'd almost given up LNC until I came across your website. I took the V.M. VIP course and 2 day apprentice classes Oct. 2007. I wasn't able to start contacting attorneys until March 2008. I live in a small town (one hospital) where everyone knows everybody, and have been contacting attorneys in 2 other counties. I've had 3 attorney interviews. 1 back in June and two in October. So far they have no cases they need me on. I am going to try another larger county starting next week. I have been doing the mail - call method, and since this county is within driving distance I can do some cold calls. Thanks for the other tips I will try.
I am discouraged as I haven't received a case yet and no longer have a support group. I was emailing several other CLNCs from the V.M. class, however all but one has given up on LNC. I was planning to go to the CLNC conference in March to make more contacts, but may not due to the bad economy (trying to save $$).
A concern is how often do you need a subcontractor and how does one easily find one if needed? I do not plan of having a large business. I believe I can go through the CLNC registry list as one option, any other suggestions? One fear I have is that I don't know enough nursing to work on cases (I did OK on the sample cases in the V.M. class). V.M. Institute really stressed having subcontractors. I have 8 years nursing in ICU, vascular/tele, med/surg and now ambulatory recovery.
Also, you mention software for case reports and timelines. Can you tell me more about this and if they are compatible with an Apple computer and where to purchase them?
