I am very much interested in pursuing a career as a LNC. I have spent a lot of time researching the numerous training programs and am leaning more and more towards the AALNC online program. I would really love to hear from anyone who has been through the modules to learn if they had a good experience and if they found it helpful in transitioning to their new career.

  3. I took their five-module, 10-hour prep for the exam; it wasn't enough to get anyone to pass the exam all by itself, but with a few months studying the 2-volume Legal Nurse Consulting Practice (3rd edition) and a few month internship in a law firm I passed the LNCC exam (the ONLY legal nurse consulting certification that's approved by the ANCC). The AALNC has really good materials. You can also hook up with their local chapters and attend their conferences, very useful for learning, networking, and support.
