    Hi all,

I have a few questions about BCTC (Danville) and I'm too impatient to wait till the next info session to ask. I have searched the internet extensively and come up short, so here goes: About how many people get accepted? What is the rating/admission points system like? Is it a very competitive process?

I have an AA and about 90 credits towards a liberal arts degree I have abandoned. For the past 6 months or so, I've been working on getting all my non-nursing classes for EKU's ADN program done. After this semester, I will have everything done for them except Micro. I also have my CNA cert.

I have applied for spring for ADN EKU but am now questioning if that is the route I want to take. Reasons- I live in Casey County, which is over an hour to Richmond, but only 30 mins to Danville. I have a family and really need to get to work sooner than 2 years from now. I'm thinking the LPN route and then LPN to RN afterwards is definitely an option to consider. I have also read how incredibly difficult EKU is, the high failure rate, etc, and it's scary to be honest.

I'm getting all my ducks in a row to apply to BCTC as well, but the next info session isn't for a few more weeks. I'm going crazy wondering about admissions. I would appreciate any feedback on my liklihood of getting into the LPN program. Thanks!

  4. After my first few days at EKU, I am less than thrilled at the looong drive and atmosphere. I'm hoping someone can answer this?
