WKCTC in Paducah--question about points system for admission

U.S.A. Kentucky

Published

I'm hoping to get some ideas here, and am actually a little embarassed to even be asking this question. I'm applying to the RN program at West Kentucky Community & Technical College in Paducah for the Spring 2011 program soon. I do already have a BA degree in another field, and based on what's provided on the website (as far as points for ACT score, GPA, KY resident status, etc.), I have 53 points. Do I have much of a chance of being accepted into the program? (My Mom actually went through the program herself just a couple of years ago, and she said she has even heard of people getting accepted with a points total in the 40's.) I know I won't know until I try & I know it depends on the points totals of others applying as well, just wondering if I even have a chance?

Thank you so much to anyone willing to attempt to answer my question!

Hi! Feel free to give me a call or quick email and I will be happy to explain the point system a little more in detail. We do have a minimum point requirement of 60. I'll be happy to meet with you and review your point tally and make suggestions on how we may improve your point total to make you competitive in the selection. My contact information is on the nursing website!
