Where to get MNA in Louisville?

Jefferson Technical College teaches one. Last time I checked it ran about $225.

You'll probably cringe at this, but you may want to call all of the local nursing homes/centers and see if any of them are offering the course or funds for the course. You'll probably have to sign on with them for a year or two, but you'll have a job while going through school. The only other thing I might suggest is call and talk to financial aid officer at the school and see if they have any ideas of how to roll the cost of the class into your school loans as a prerequisite class. I tried calling the hospitals, University was the only one that said they will train you for your MNA but they don't have any openings right now.
Can anyone offer any advice as to where else I can go to try and earn it? I am really getting desperate. Thanks so much for your help!

Hi- I work at University, and the next class is in August- is that too late for you?

There's also a place in Shelbyville that offers it- I don't remember the name of it, & I don't know the cost, but they usually run an ad in the C-J where the medical want ads are.

Thank you all for the replies. I will be starting the classes in Shelbyville in August. Far to drive but they were the only place that I could find offering weekend classes.

you may want to check with a longterm care (nursing home) in louisville the may pay for it as well and plus they may give a job uncertified
