Clinical hours

  1. 0 This MAY be the DUMBEST question, but.... Is there ANY schools around that I can do clinical hours on the weekend? I work M-F (40 hours) Midnite-8am. This will be my first year (going for LPN, then onto RN). Any suggestions would be GREAT....I'm open for anything, just ready to get started.

Even if there are weekend clinicals I don't think you'll do yourself justice, or the patients, by working nocs 5 days a week then clinical. You've got to give up something. Nursing is hard work.
How do you plan to stay fully awake for the didcatic portion of school? I wish you luck but this sounds like a lose-lose situation.

Don't want to be a downer but...when will you sleep? School from 9 until 2 or 3 (if you are lucky) homework from 4 until 7 or seven, dinner, housework, shopping etc until 11, then work until 8am? You are going to be one busy person. I wish you luck, but I don't think its going to work. Part time maybe, full time...can't do it. You'll be doing yourself a diservice and it won't be healthy for body mind or soul.

I agree. Was just gonna try until Jan (trying to start LPN progam in late Sept). It WOULD be awful....LOL.
