BCTC Fall 2013 Applicants

Hi all! Just wanted to see if there are any other BCTC applicants out there. I'm getting super anxious about hearing whether I got in or not, and didn't know if anyone else wanted to discuss our waiting time! Best of luck to everyone. ?

So definitely no chance for today I'm assuming...bummer. I figured as much when they said 1st week of April that they could really get away with as late as Sunday pushing it out till Monday news. I'm glad you got up the nerve to call Admissions....I've been having to hold myself back. I suppose the 500 is better than 600 but not if the 500 are smarter than the 600 last year...haha! I wonder if that's just BCTC Cooper applicants or if that includes Lawrenceburg or if that's a separate pool altogether? My brain hurts. :banghead:

They will surely update the selective admissions account before they mail out letters. So I'm guessing sometime late today.

Urgh... so why dont they go ahead and update the sas accounts? They may send letters out tomorrow or monday.... but that means it could be another 3-5 days before we actually get them in the mail. They obviously already know the results.... so why not post them? :banghead:

So.....who else has checked their sas account like a million times? Geez,I wish they'd come on with it!

I know! It's like Sarah said that if they already have the results why wouldn't they just go ahead and post. You know, i'm wondering if the final selections have been made but perhaps not "signed off" on. I believe the president or something has to sign off. So, at UK this week, staff is way down because of Spring Break and their off with their kids. What if the person signing is out till Monday? Of course i just keep trying to justify they would torture us this way :***:

Oh and i also wish they would have shown us a screen print example of what it would look like once it is updated. h.eads did you apply to Cooper or Lawrenceburg?

When I went to the admissions office at cooper They said that they were folding the letters today and tomorrow, so they wouldn't go out until tomorrow at the earliest. I'm not sure if they send both cooper and lawrenceburg campus letters out from cooper though.

Plus they're super slow and kind of disorganized in the admissions office. There was a girl in line in front of me who's transcripts from other schools had been lost after she sent them to BCTC!

so does that mean they won't update the SAS until the letters have gone out?

No clue...the girl I went down there with after class said her friend has applied the last 3 years and apparently they updated the SAS account the day they sent the letters out. Hopefully they'll update it sooner!

And I applied to Cooper.

My stomach is in knots!

I just wish they hadn't done away with rolling admissions:( that breaks my heart!

I'm actually kind if glad they did away with rolling admissions. I didn't qualify for rolling admission because of my GPA from my first degree, but have a 3.8 for just my pre-reqs. I'm sure I'm not the only one that screwed up when they were younger and doesn't want to be judged as harshly for mistakes I made 8 years ago when I'm working my butt off now. I wish I could have done the GPA recalc but because I have a BS already they won't even think about it!
