Hello everyone,
Glad to see other Kentuckians here.
I'm a pre-student, I live right next to Morehead, ky. I will be a student this spring semester 2009.

I'm taking the plunge this will be my 2nd career. I should had done it 20 yrs. ago, but things got in the way.
Anyways, I'm excited & scared to death to start this new chapter in my life.

I'm in Mt Sterling. I start nursing school this fall in Lexington at BCTC. I start my CNA class next week.

Not sure which school you're going to KyLady, but Bluegrass is requiring PDA's this fall. I don't know what kind yet as the bookstore doesn't have them yet. I had already bought the Palm TX and a wireless keyboard. I figure that way I can do homework while I'm waiting in between classes. HTH

Really? I'm going into my second year at BCTC and we've not heard anything about PDAs. Maybe this is something they're only requiring of the incoming class. It seems odd though. I've got an old Palm that I'd occasionally take to clinicals with me and everyone was always amazed by it. NO ONE - including instructors - had really used one before. Ironically, I ended up stopping carrying it as the only things I ever used were the drug book and the calculator. There is a drug book on every cart and a calculator on my phone which is so much easier to carry. I'm sure they can be helpful, but for me, I never saw it. Life was easier with one less thing to carry around.
