The person who works at Ephraim... how do you like it? I'm getting ready to start working there, on the third floor. I'm an RN.

My story. =) Raised in Louisville, went to Morehead State for five years and got an art degree. Moved to Frankfort in '95, after graduating from Morehead. Went back to school for nursing in '99. Went to work at Frankfort Regional in '99. Worked there for seven years altogether; four as an aide and three as an RN, all in med/surge. Moved to Lawrenceburg in 2000. Quit Frankfort Regional in 2006 to try psychiatric nursing. Now I'm tired of doing psych full time, after only one year of doing it, (I work at Central State) and I'm going back to med surge. Gonna do psych PRN.

Hi again 1OldDinosaurRN!! I worked atEMRMC as a PCT about 2 yrs ago and loved it. But I haven't decided if I want to work there again. I think I will probably put in at all of the surrounding hospitals and see what choices I have.

Hey guys, I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I'm a brand new nurse, working in the CTVU at St. Joseph in good old Lexington. I originally went to UK in 98 and got a Psych degree, worked retail management for a few years, then went to LCC (now Bluegrass) in 2005 to get my ADN. I am about as green as they get, but I freaking love what I do. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Hey,
I'm at Bluegrass now and under contract to work at St Joe when I'm done. Hoping for either NICU at SJE or CTVU!

Well, the Western part of the state needs to be represented here. I'm and RN in the ICU from Graves Co. Currently on a travel assignment in Paducah, I know 'not that much of a travel' but I get the same perks without having to leave home!!

ODDONE,
I'm also from Lexington and just talked to them at St. Joseph about the CTVU. Any feedback on the hospital would be great. Although you're new, are you finding the nurses are receptive to you? Day or night shift?
