Hi Jsadler! Books, uniforms, fees, CPR certification and all of the medical paperwork that we had to get done, all came out of our pockets! Some of us; very few; will get residual money, but not until about 8 weeks after the quarter begins. You would think that we would get a little more help with all of these expenses, but what can you do?

So far, not including tuition, I'm out $1,000.00. I did buy all required books, including 1 optional anatomy workbook. After going through the workbook, I'm really glad I bought it. I also bought 2 sets of scrubs, and 2 sets of uniforms.

Thanks I really nervous I go to take the CPAT test in the morning and I am wanting to be prepared for everything and make sure i have enough for everything in October.

Do you get your uniforms from Galen? How much do those cost they told me $80 but I am not sure what you actually get for that price

Don't be nervous about the CPAT! The content is very easy. Just be sure to watch your time. When I took the test, I had maybe 3 min. left before I had to start the next section, and you are not allowed to go back to the previous section. Good luck tomorrow!

We do not get the uniforms from Galen. We have to get them from a company called Nanco Uniforms. The cost is $37.00 for the top. We get the uniform pants and our scrubs from Cardinal Uniforms b/c we get a discount on them there. I can't remember how much the pants and scrubs were, but they weren't too bad.

My daughter had to have XXS Petite scrubs. The pants Galen wants you to have don't come that small. I called and they said she could purchase other pants. Hope it's not going to be a problem. Also, they still aren't in. Ordered about 10 days ago. Starting to get nervous. They also have to be hemmed...

That's sooo weird, when I went to take the CPAT a few weeks ago, they said october was waitlisted!! i guess they were either misinformed or maybe they opened more spots up since then? anyway, thanks for the info!
