Friday was nursing only!! EXAM day!! Your AP II will have to be M/W due to clinicals on T or TH. Really look at when you want to schedule lab. This is the class that made some people have to choose a certain clinical day. (This is why I did mine on Wed so I could have one day off to study).

I had AP II lab on Wednesday and it didn't let out till 4pm so I was running with clinicals on Thursday!!
Now that the time is almost upon me, this is all making sense and I had a question for you. You said that you liked having Tues off to study for lecture/lab exams. In hindsight, do you think it would have been better to have Thursday off to study for Nursing exams?

For example, if we are lucky enough to have lecture exam on Monday then I would have all weekend to prepare. The downside would be that I would have clinicals all day Tuesday and then a test in Lab the next day. OR I could have clinicals all day Thursday and a test in Nursing the next morning........what do you think?

Hey DRA have you met with an advisor to schedule your classes yet? I go on the 26th and I'm trying to figure out which scedule is going to work best for me. I got my uniforms and just have to get my drug test and my documents will be ready to turn in.

Yes, I actually met with my advisor the week before registration for classes began. I think we have the same advisor b/c I saw your name on her list :0) I choose to have my lab on Tuesdays. The option was either Tuesday or Thursday. That means I will automatically get a Thursday clinical.

I did ask her if there was a better day, and she really didn't have any advice on that. I asked her if Nursing tests were every Friday and she said yes. I thought it would be better for me to keep my A&P lecture/lab all at the beginning of the week so that I could have the weekend to 'main focus' on exams in that area, and then 'main focus' on Nursing exams toward the beginning/middle of the school week. I wil be studying all the time anyway, but it just helps me to seperate them like that in my mind.

I haven't gotten my uniforms yet b/c I am applying for WIA. They told me not to buy any of that b/c they will pay for all of it. The case worker said it would be approved sometime in December before Christmas.

I've completed my checklist, and plan to turn my file in on Wedns. before my A&P class. I'm getting excited, and a little nervous. This will be a big change from the last few years of night school! I'm just worrying about all the 'what if's' now.

More than anything, I'm ready to finish up my CNA course.....it's SO BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ughh, I hated my CNA course to. I also have lab on tuesday, and lecture MW at 8:00. I am meeting WIA next week, but just on the off chance I don't qualify I went ahead and bought some of the stuff I thought I would need. I'm definately nervous but I'm so ready to start the program! I have been waiting for this for quite a while and having all my stuff and getting registered for NSG 101 made it seem way more real!! See ya January 11th!

I thought she seemed really nice too. We will have long days the first few weeks b/c our packet says that during our first several weeks of class the clinicals will be on Tues AND Thurs from 8-12, and then switch to one 8 hr day after that. That means we won't get a day off the first few weeks, and Tues we will be going from 8-whenever that lab lets out in the afternoon.......*sigh*

I am almost glad I didnt get accepted for spring, you guys are gonna have your hands full! When I start in the fall I will only have microbiology and the heritage/humanities/foreign lang elective left and I hope to do both of those during summers so I only have to focus on nrsing core classes.

We are gonna have our hands full! At least I won't have A&P lecture AND lab on the same day like I do now though....I've been studying like mad for an exam in both lecture and lab that I have tonight! I always feel like I'm shorting one or the other when I have a test in both on the same night....
