by Nurse2be Oct 29, '03I'm pretty confident that I am going to be offered a position in Labor & Delivery. This is where I've ALWAYS wanted to work. The only problem is, it's third shift. I'm a single mom, and I know there have to be single moms out there who work third shift. I need ideas of what to do with my children while I'm working. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Thanks a million!
Emily

It's rough being a single mom and I am glad that I finally am on days, and I finally found a sitter that I know I can trust, plus my son is old enough now that I can sometimes leave him alone for short periods of time.
I liked night shift because the atmosphere is so much more relaxed and the money is way better, but it is so hard to find someone you trust to watch your kids all night. Sorry to be discouraging. Good luck!

- Jan 10, '04 by cpappasHi there!
I currently work the night shift, I have two kids and I have found that is easier to find help for the nights. I mean, your kids are sleeping, how hard is that. If you have family maybe they could help. Since the kids are sleeping people tend to be more helpful. Good Luck!
