I didn't think that it was difficult at all as long as you have all of your prereqs done because they won't consider you until you have it all completed.

Actually accordin to the frequently asked questions on their website that's not true, though the more you sucessfully complete the better candidate you look like. It says and I quote:"Question:Do all pre-requisites have to be completed before I submit my application?Answer:No, however, pre-requisites must be successfully completed (with a "C" or better) prior to entering the nursing program. To be considered for admission, we must have your PCC Nursing Application, TEAS scores, high school transcript, and all college transcripts.

I was still working on my pre-reqs when accepted into the program. They just have to be complete by the time the actual program begins.

I didn't think it was too difficult to be accepted into the program.

They wouldn't send me an acceptance letter until my grades were posted for the semester. Maybe it was just my experience.

Hey I'm new to this website and I am about to start my Lpn class soon. I am planning ahead and already looking into Lpn to rn online classes and came across Pratt. My current gpa is only 2.2 in the nursing pre req but I am currently in 2 of the pre req classes and I still have 2 more to go. I did not get a A or B in A&P and was wanting to know from any current students any advice they would give me to increase my chances on getting into the program. I also wanted to know other current students overall gpa's and teas scores.

I haven't gotten into the program yet, but am applying. I did very well on the teas test, in the mid-90s percentile. Unfortunately I don't get extra points for that you simply get 10 points for scoring in the 50th percentile. I would suggest contacting the school to see what there average points, on their point system, is for the students admitted; just to see what you want to aim for and if it is possible to raise your score high enough to give you a shot. Seeing that you cannot get the points for an A or B in A&P, I would do everything that you can to boost your GPA, do as good as possible in your LPN program, be sure to turn the application in before the deadline, and don't blow off the teas. You will also need to wait until you aquire 1000 hours of LPN working experience (that is about six months full time work), that too will get you points. I just got accepted to the Pratt lpn-rn online nursing program for sring 2011. Could anyone give me a little more information about the transition class and the clinicals.:)

The transition course is 6 weeks and you need the "student nurse manual" for this course. It is very easy. The clinicals are at the end of each theory class and last for 6 weeks (3 days a week). The locations depend on what area of the state that you are in. If you are in western kansas or out of state you will be in Wichita, Pratt, Hutchinson, and Larned. If you are in eastern kansas you will go to Newton, Overland Park Regional, Stormont Vail, and Osawatomie State Hospital. Thanks that did help. But how many theory classes is it?

There are only 2 theory classes. 1 each semester.

Does anyone know of any other people who finished the program that live in another state? I live in Pa. and I talk to a lady who said she completed her clinicals in MD.
