Esthetic nursing in Kansas?

Hi everyone! I am currently a 1st year nursing student. I am so very passionate about skincare and I would love to one day become an esthetic nurse. However, I guess I am in need of some advice. I am planning to attend an 11-month esthetics program after I get my RN. Is it recommended that I work in another field for a few years ( such as floor nursing at a hospital). Also, I know that California has more opportunities for nurses to work in med-spas. However, what is the outlook in Kansas? I would love to hear from any experienced esthetic nurses in kansas, or from anyone really! Thanks!
