LPN license renewal; what is policy if not actively practicing?

by cynthy

Does anyone know what the policy is regarding renewing your LPN license if not currently practicing as LPN. I researched KSBN.org and could not find a clear answer. I have been offered a job working as a "Health Technician" therefore will not be working as an LPN. Will I still be able to receive my license when it comes time to renew? thanks everyone! =)

Hi, I'm an RN in Kansas and for us (I would think it would be the same for LPN's)...you just need to keep up with your ceu's and renew like usual. I haven't worked for a few years and just keep my license current...I did call and talk to KSBN about it.
