Texas Health Resources is seeking an RN in the Behavioral Health Transfer Center

Full Time: 40 hours per week
Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10:00pm

Minimum Education Requirements:
Associate degree Nursing. RNs hired within THR after December, 2016, require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date.

Minimum Experience Requirements:
3 years of RN experience in a behavioral health hospital experience is required.
1 year patient intake experience is preferred.

Minimum Licensure / Certification Requirements:
RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing and AHA BLS current. CPI within 30 days of hire.

Minimum Skill Requirements:
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated interpersonal and problem solving skills. Proficient in computers. Individual must be capable of moving between tasks; communicating effectively; attentive to detail; perform outstanding verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.

JOB RESONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Facilitates behavioral health transfers throughout the THR system and from other healthcare facilities. - 45%

Completes nurse to nurse reports and documents appropriately. - 20% Receives, reviews, and documents crisis clinician assessment requests then deploys assessors within department standards. - 15%

Works closely with entity behavioral health directors and doctors to assure proper placements of patient. - 10%

Builds relationships with all stakeholder groups involved in behavioral health transfers including physicians and promotes the center to potential referral resources. - 10%

Perform other duties as assigned
