Gannon University's Morosky School of Health Professions and Sciences invites you to join the Villa Maria School of Nursing, the first collegiate nursing program in NW Pennsylvania, which offers a community-based curriculum that produces graduates who consistently achieve a high level of success on the NCLEX-RN and assume leadership positions on employment.
The successful candidates will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues, advise students, develop and maintain a scholarship program, and participate in service activities to support the University, community, and profession. Ideally, candidates will have experience using course management systems for purposes of instruction and advising; experience using patient simulation for teaching purposes is also preferred. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University's inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
Assistant Professor, Villa Maria School of Nursing
The successful candidate will teach in the CCNE accredited baccalaureate nursing programs, including graduate programs. Classroom and clinical instruction are required. The successful candidate must be a registered nurse with a master's degree in nursing and an earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related field (Ph.D., DNSc). Clinical and teaching experience in a program of higher education (1-2 years minimum) is required. A focus or experience in psychiatric nursing is desirable, and the candidate must be eligible for Pennsylvania licensure and possess a valid driver's license. Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon. The candidates must be eligible for Pennsylvania licensure and possess a valid driver's license.
Instructors Villa Maria School of Nursing - Two
