West Suburban School of Nursing

  1. Wondering if anyone went here...especially for the fast track program. What was it like? Was it hard getting in? How big were the classes? Do they have a good program?

are you talking about west sub in oak park, il or another state? if you are talking about the one in illinois, i graduated from there and i did the traditional route with concordia university. the fast track is very intense and last semester over half the students failed. everyone is different. i suggest you talk to the academic counselor there and she can tell you how the program is set up.

Welcome to allnurses. Maybe try posting this in the IL forum?

Hey! My mom went there. She graduated from their diploma program in the early 60's. At that time it was an excellent program, and it probably still is. I recently looked at one of their alumni update letters, and the recent graduating class was pretty small. I think they had about 8 graduating. I really don't think it was more than 12. Quite a change from a long time ago. Sorry I can't tell you more about them.

As someone suggested, look in the Illinois forum. You might get more help there.
I'd love to be up in the Chicago area again.

Can anyone tell me more about the Fast Track Program or School in general?

Why do you think that half the class failed out?
