    Hello Everyone,

    My name is Dennis Gerrits. I am originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, but right now I am in San Diego, California. I am an Ortho/Trauma RN at UCSD Hospital. I have been here for about 2 years now. I am billingual in Spanish. My passion is to make a difference in my patient's lives everyday I work. I find Nursing very fulfilling spiritually and I thank God for everyday I am able to perform my duty. I look forward to using this site, and making new friends.

    What's it like being an Ortho Nurse?

    Being on Ortho/Trauma nurse is very exciting as we get many cases that can be challenging...gun shot wounds, stab wounds, fractures, neurological patients, while other cases may be more easy going such as scheduled athroplasties, Total Hip, Knee...My floor is a very nice floor to work on and my managers are the BEST!!!!
