how is it to be an lpn student
i am planning to enroll in that program this coming feb.
did u go to a private school?
im in a community college
before you go to the LPN program, i want you to consider a few things. a. are you willing to work/take care of the sick or elderly. and b. are you willing to commit a lot of your time into your studies c. your career in the long run.
for the first two items only you can answer. for the third item i want you to consider how far into the nursing career are you willing to go. if you are planning to go MSN if the future i suggest you take RN as an entry point into the nursing career.
during my clinicals in different hospitals we were able to talk with their recruiting officers. i noticed that most of the hospitals here in michigan have stopped hiring LPN's. which means the opportunity in the nursing field (for LPN's) is now limited (hospital facility). most of the LPN's are hired in the LTC facilities.
advantage for LPN. we could work in a shorter time span of schooling. if you want to pursue RN a lot of facilities are willing to pay for your schooling.
