Searching for nurse residency programs

  1. Hello. I just stumbled upon this site while searching for information about nurse residency programs. I will graduate with my BSN in May and I am looking to go ANYWHERE as long as the hospital has a good residency program. Does anyone know of any they would recommend? I'm especially interested in the ED, Neuro ICU, and Trauma ICU. Thanks!

Don't limit yourself to hospitals that use the word "residency" to describe their orientation program. There are a lot of good programs that don't use that word but still provide great support for the new grad. There are probably also some bad programs out there that DO use the word residency so that they suck in gullible new grads who assume they are better.

Look at the details of the programs and the quality of the education and support you will get, not on the slick marketing terms and gimmicks that are used to lure people in.
