Rookie Nursing Student

  1. Hi all. My name is Mickie, and I wanted to introduce myself to the group. I will begin taking pre req classes this summer, and then enter into an LPN program in the fall of this year. I'm hoping to continue on to an RN program once I complete the LPN.

I'm currently a stay at home mom to two children, ages six and seven. After managing restaurants for ten years, I had grown incredibly tired of it and left the field in May of last year. Since that time, I've had plenty of time to figure out exactly what I want to do with the rest of my life, and I chose nursing!

I'm incredibly optimistic about the future at this point. I know I have a lot of work ahead of me in order to complete my goals, but I'm ready to get started NOW!! I'm trying to learn all I can before I even get IN school. I'm sure there is a ton of information available, but I'm just confused by where to even start! Hoping everyone here will help me sort all that out! Thanks in advance, as I'm sure to have some questions.

    Mickie

I'm not sure I can answer that question yet... my class hasn't started! When that day comes, I'll probably start asking the same question myself!:uhoh21:
