  1. I am a registered nurse currently licensed in Washington State. I had worked several years in the midwest after graduating from Marquette University eons ago. I have been raising 5 children, a never ending job but it does not pay the bills. I came out of "retirement" (emhasis on the tired part) and despite having completed a nurse refresher class, I could not find a job in the Seattle area since I lacked recent experience. I was hoping that my experience in raising my own children might qualify me as having some first hand knowledge at a pediatric clinic, or family practice clinic. After spending close to 2 years searching, and bitter disappointment I have given up trying to get hired as a nurse, thus I enrolled in a 600 hour course to become a licensed Esthetician. I need to de-stress and get some help on all my new wrinkles. Sure hope I find a job somewhere, even if it means moving out of state. Any ideas? Marilee

I am very surprised to find out a RN cannot find a job in Washington State, I guess you are not living in a big city...like New York, LA, or others....If I resigned from my current job right now...I am sure within 10 days, I will find another job somewhere in the City of New York....even you don't have recent experience ...I am sure you will get something with good pay.
