Go for it!!! What could it hurt, at least give it a try! I'm 38 and just went back this year with 4 teenage sons and I'm enjoying school, you probably will too! Good luck!

thanks! It means a lot. I hope I will be able to get the financial assistance? I am single with a teenager at home. How did some of you juggle school and work?

You're never too old, and it's never too late (unless you're dead, but then you don't know it's too late). Depending on the course load you will have to take, it's quite feasible to still work on weekends, evenings, etc. However, between work, school, studying, and family life it will be a lot of work, but it's certainly worth it in the end. And if you've been wanting to do this for the last 14 years, I'm sure you will find it all worthwhile.

You are never too old for knowledge!!! If you want it, go for it!! I have been an LPN for 19 years, and will graduate in June'04 with an ADN/RN. I am 40 y.o., work part-time, go to scholl full time and have 5 children ages 21 down to 4.
It is tough, but I do it. So, I know you CAN do it.
Sounds like your heart is in it. You will be a good nurse!

I don't think anyone is ever too old. I am 30 and starting back full time in the fall with three little ones at home. You can do it!!!!!!
