Nursing liscense question

  1. I thought I'd post this here since this website is so messy and cluttered I wasn't sure if I'd find my post again.

My question is, if you get your LPN liscense, then decide to move to another state is your liscense no good there? Would you have to attend school all over again? I don't want to attend school and find this out later on. Thanks.

    First, Welcome to Allnurses.com...........

Second, once you take the NCLEX-PN exam, you never have to take it again. You just apply for endorsement to the state BON where you wish to work, and essentially complete the documents and pay the fee.

    That is it....................

What is the difference between an lpn and a lvn?

Same thing, just different name. In California, it is called Licensed Vocational Nurse, Arizona calls it Licensed Practical Nurse. Same boards, same responsibilities.
