Thought I'd better come in and introduce myself, as I am likely to be wanting to rant or ask for help many times in the future. My name is Summer and I am hoping to become a nursing student, classes start in March. I am living in the UK at the moment, but as soon as I graduate I'm hoping to move back to Australia
My application was a late decision, so I'm cutting it fine for the cut off date, final interviews are Feb 10th. I'm really excited because I've been thinking about taking the plunge for ages now, just decided one day, what the hell, go for it.
I currently work in the medical industry, just on the admin side, but I have always wanted to be more involved with the patients. I used to be a Dental Nurse, and I really enjoyed the patient interaction.
I hope I've made the right decision, at the moment I'm worried about trying to fit it all in, you know, family, work, studying, play, etc...
I just hope it all works out, I guess I just need to remain focused and remember that I can get a rewarding career and a good life out of this.
Does everyone else seem daunted by having to fit everything in, or is it just me?
On another, just as stressful note. My fiance and I are getting married In Florida on New Years Eve 2005. I am trying to organise that aswell, never been to Florida, but I hope it will be a good break, classes finish Christmas Eve!! I will have to make up my clinical practice when I come back however!
Anyway, I am pleased to meet everyone, just glad I found this forum!
