I am currently a pre-nursing student at Montgomery County Community College. I'm almost done with all of my pre-reqs. This semester I'm taking Nutrition, Math course (pre-req for Stats) upper level Sociology class & Developmental Psy. I applied at Gwyneed Mercy College and I should here from them by the beginning of Feb. Very nervous! If I don't get in, I'll stay at Montco and start clinicals in the Fall. So wish me luck! Either way I'll be on my way to realizing my dreams. I'm a mother of three (ages 15, 14 and 5), happily married and my goals are to become an NP specializing in Cardiology. For many years I worked as an interpreter for patients who suffer from COPD, CHF and diabetes. I loved the job. Well, once I become an Rn, I want to work part-time and continue until I become an NP. I go to school full time now and work part time so it shouldn't be too bad. I hope! Any advice will be welcomed. My dream job....is to work in a hospital meeting the needs of the hispanic population. I feel that as a bilingual nurse I would be of great use to them. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I'm looking fwd to meeting many new nurses and future nurses.
One more thing...anyone here from Montco?? or Gwyneed??
