I am new to AllNurses though I have been reading the posts for a while. I figured it was time to actively participate.
I graduated with my ADN in '15 and have been working at an acute rehab hospital for over a year now. In two months time, I am proud to say I will be graduating with my BSN. I also have a BA in Psychology.
During nursing school I worked fulltime in an ICU as a nursing assistant. This experience was invaluable and I recommend working as a nursing assistant to anyone iterested in nursing.
My interests include critical care, telemetry, and nursing education. Though I have a long way to go before I can become an educator, I plan to start taking graduate classes next fall so I can start making slow progress towards the goal of a master's degree.
I look forward to becoming active in AllNurses community and think there is a lot I could learn from all the experience and knowledge he members have!
Welcome to the "official" side of visiting AN!
Congrats on your progress! Keep up the great work and interest.
Congratulations on all your hard work!
Sounds like you are a very hard worker! I am a year-old nurse, and an older one (52). I find that telemetry challenges me, and I'm not sure how to rectify this! Do you have any tips to help me with rhythms and overall telemetry stuff? Websites? Apps? Thanks.
Welcome! I have found this forum is an excellent way to understand what's going on in nursing firsthand and from just about every perspective I can think of.
Looking forward to your input as you pursue your goal of becoming a nurse educator.
