Oh Babe, I'm not in England, I'm SCOTTISH and proud of it!
The patient load in team midwifery is horrendous, i gather. Having been out of it for these years, I'm not speaking with first hand experience, but hear things from my midwife pals, also the discontent of mothers visiting the NICU, they feel like they are on a (very speedy!) conveyer belt!

hi. i'm still looking for some suggestions about finding a job in fetal monitoring, or is it a dead end field. Also what other position I can apply for to utilize my skill. I have no L&D experince and would prefer working in a clinic setting. Desperately awaiting answers.

probably better posting this in the L&D forum but if looking to working in a clinic then probably better to get experience first in a hospital.

Agree with Silverdragon. You probably need to get on with a hospital first. Perhaps if you were to expand the geographical area where you are looking for work, you might have more success. Make certain you utilize the job websites. I see plenty of job listings on careerbuilder.com and indeed.com, to name a couple. Good luck.
