i'm looking forward to getting to know this board a little bit more. i just finished my adn and will be starting work on the 12th of july...oh and i have to take the nclex on the 1st!! i'm scared but i know that won't help so...i'm trying to relax and just concentrate on doing my best. i'm 26, married, have a 3 year old little munchkin...
i'm going to be working in the pediatric icu at a teaching hospital...i'm looking forward to it, although i don't feel a bit prepared for the numerous things that will be thrown my way. they have a great orientation program which i'm hoping will help...

congratulations on passing the nclex. i took the nclex on june 14th and found out on the 16th i passed. i am so glad that is over with. i also graduated from an adn-program. i start working in september in the icu. it will be very different than what i am doing now. i work for a cosmetic surgery center and love it! i am also pursuing a bsn, then on to crna school, i hope. i am very excited about this new career opportunity coming my way. they have a 16 week orientation that will be great and they offer a bsn program at the hospital. how wonderful is that? but it will take two years to complete, so i might go ahead and do it online and get it done in a year. you say your 26, well i will be 26 on the 24th of june. i do not have any children. i know that must have been a lot to juggle with nursing school. i could'nt imagine. i spent days and nights with my books. good luck to you and your future ahead.
