Looking for CNA training in RI

  1. Hello All,

First I'd like to introduce myself to everyone, though I am not a nurse, I"m looking to start off as a CNA and work up. I am looking for CNA training in RI and my funds are limited. I've been told about nursing homes, or other centers that will provide free CNA training, in the condition that you commit to work for them for a year. Does anyone know who offers training at low to no cost for CNA training?

Hi, Depending on your income you might qualify for financial aid in your State, for example a Pell Grant.

I belive that the American Red Cross might offer a CNA course in Providence. Give them a call and see if they still do. It is just a few weeks long and usually reasonably priced.

    Welcome and good luck.
