Hi everyone, my name is Miller and I live in Dallas, TX. I am currently a software analyst and am not sure where to take my career next. I am almost 26 and have my bachelors as well as my MBA, but feel like something is missing. I have only just started looking at other options in Health care including physical therapy and nursing, an accelerated BSN route seems the way to go these days from others with previous degrees. My girlfriend is really looking to move back to Birmingham and it doesn't look like there are any options for a 12 month program there. I was looking for any help out there and if this is even a feasible option. I am giving up a $60k/year salary but I am not happy in it. I want to help others and make a difference, plus nursing doesn't pay all that bad from what I hear. Also, does anyone know if the military will help with tuition in accelerated BSN programs as well? my goal is to be an officer and if they would help to pay for my school and also include a monthly stipend I could see going through with it. sorry so long.

Good luck to you. I'm not sure how to advise you as I don't know the answers. I want to wish you well.
You can probably make a comparable salary in nursing. I do.
