Hi DPE from a former North Carolinian (lived there for 15 yrs)! I was glad to see your post. I just started working in the ED and the one thing I really need help with is the kids! I have limited peds experience (mainly caths). Can you suggest any resources (books, internet, etc.) for info? I have taken PALS but that's about it. Thanks

Try the ENPC course: ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course

    website: http://www.ena.org/catn_enpc_tncc/enpc/

That should help, also "SOAP for Pediatrics" is an awesome new book! If you need any other help, let me know! Always willing to help a fellow nurse, esp a North Carolinian!
