Introduction

  1. Hi, I just found and registered for this site this evening. My name is Lynda and at the age of 49 I finally decided what I wanted to be when I grew up - a nurse. ( Had been working as a telecommunications analyst and switch engineer in IT and IS). So here I am a married mother of 3 (ages 11,13,16) back in school full time. I have a B.S. degree from 1979 so I chose to go to a community college for an ADN in nursing. I would love to do NICU. In the 1980's I was a phlebotomist and worked primarily in NICU and loved every minute of it. Would be interested to se if there are any older, married persons who like me are career changing. Many Thanks. Lynda

Welcome to allnurses! I'm always inspired by stories of people who have the stamina to go through re-education and career change as they grow older! Good luck!
