my name is patrick (21/m/nj). i currently work for a state facility. i am a health services assistant, which is similar in responsibilities to that of a cna. i help care for individuals with mental and physical disabilities.
i'm in the process of being accepted to the[color=#606420] burlington county institute of technology for lpn licensure. i'm also trying to acquire a scholarship from my work that will allow me to have a paid leave of absence while i finish my licensure, though i do have to work for them for the amount of time i am in school when i return... in the big scheme of things i consider this to be a more than fair deal.
my plan, at the moment, is to complete my lpn and pay my debt to my employer. in the meantime i will be saving up money to go back to school to get either a rn or bsn degree... and from there, who knows... i'd rather not stress myself out about it too much until i cross that bridge.
when i came across this website i knew that in the years to come it will prove itself to be an invaluable resource... and hopefully along the way i will be able to develop a network of friends within the profession.
