Introduction

  1. Hi all. This is my first post at allnurses.com. I found this site by accident and looked around and am so glad to have found it.

I am a Diploma RN (graduated 1985) in Illinois. Currently reside in Minnesota. I have worked more areas of nursing than I care to count some days. I have finally landed in an area that as a student, I swore I would never do! Goes to show never say never-- I absolutely love my job!

I have an ER/ICU background, worked in correctional nursing for 10 years with positions in legal, staffing, and administration. then moved on to documentation specialist, Bone Marrow Transplant staff nurse, then to House Supervisor and now OB/GYN RN Supervisor at our local Medical Center! What a diverse experience- if I do say so myself!

Besides being a nurse, I am a wife and mother of 2 (ages 16 and 8). Girl and boy respectively. Boy will I be glad when adolescence is over!! Girls at 16 can be terrible! Other days not so bad!

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and hope to venture around the forums and learn more about myself and others and this wonderful career we have all chosen to be a part of!!!!
