I have read many articles about becoming an RN, either going for ADN or BSN, or accelerated second bachelor and such...but I still can't come up with a solution. So let me have a little introduction:
I just finished my bachelor degree in psychology and would really like to get into the nursing field (I hope I am right for it, I really would like to take care of people who have needs). My parents are upset that I have to take some more pre-req classes to get into the nursing program, not to mention, which. I have considered the accelerated programs; however, I cannot be a full time student, so that probably doesn't work for me. I have considered ADN and BSN, but I have read that some programs do not allow you to do the RN to BSN if you already obtain a bachelor degree. I really want to keep studying in the future, so BSN will be most ideal. Right now, ADN seems most feasible but I am just worried that I won't be able to get a BSN later, or that I would be wasting my time to get a second bachelor (like studying for another two years).
I would really like to know more about school, internship, and working experience from those who are already being a nurse.
Thank you so so much!!!!
