I'm new, need advise

  1. Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I am interested in seeking a career in nursing. Currently I am looking into LPN, ADN or BSN programs in Illinois (Chicago region).

Are there any private institutes that offer a LPN program? If not in Illinois, are there any else where?

    Thanks.

    Welcome.............

The easiest way to find a list of all of the schools is to go to the website for your state Board of Nursing. There should be a list there of all approved schools.

    Good luck..........

If at all possible try to pursue a BSN degree since you would then have many more options in nursing. I know that Rush and Loyola Hospitals offer excellent tuition assistance.

Thank you very much to all of you you replied to my threads. It was very helpful. Looking at my current pre-requisites i am trying for ADN with COD, i have also giving my GRE thus opening my options for masters entry. Is it better to go for a masters entry program or would you suggest that i first get a BSn or ADN before i jump for Msn.
    Thanks

Hi there I am glad to hear that you are thimking about COD. That is where I went. If you have any questions about the school, classes, or the teachers just ask. The school does have everything you need, but the teachers do try & make life hard on you. Good luck!

So, you want to know about COD teachers. A girlfriend of mine just told me about this site. WOW! If I only knew then...

Not every teacher is here, but I just thought it was a helpful start for you.
