I'm also new here.....

  1. Hi. I've had my nursing license for 25 years, but have been out of the field and raising a family. I want to go back to hospital nursing. I've taken the RN refresher course and have been looking for jobs. My question tonight is, I've noticed that many places have their job postings online and you can apply for them online. Is that enough, or does one need to send a resume/cover letter? Any opinions on this? Thanks in advance.

    Hello and Welcome to Allnurses.com

If they request any additional information, you may send these items, I would think. If you feel the need to add this, then, by all means send them.

    Good luck.

    Hi and welcome to allnurses!!

I just recently got a job, but all summer I had been applying to jobs online. A lot of times they would have a place for you to attach your resume and send that in online too. Then after a few days I would either call the place to make sure they got my application/resume or they would call me.

Good luck to you, I wish you the best!
