  1. Hi, im new to this, can anyone give me some pointers ? i joined because i cannot find a web site which gives info on how long you should change a suprapubic catheter ? I know you cant give medical advice but i could do with a thread . x

    On the NHS site for the Isle of Wight they write that a sp cath should stay in no more than 3 months.

    I had a suprapubic urinary catheter I changed every month on a home health patient. Hope that wasn't TOS infringement...oops!

    Of course not. You're using your experience as a nurse to pass information along. That's what we're all about. It's not like you named the person, the agency or any other information.
