I don't know if Cyberdoula/Beth posted here often...

  1. but I am a friend and came to tell you with great sadness that she passed away this past Wednesday. Beth was one of the sweetest people. Here is her obituary:

    Elizabeth (Beth) Erin Burrough Brown

Beth Brown died Tuesday, April 14, 2004, at the age of 29. Beth was battling an extremely rare blood disease and after a month-long hospital stay, died from a brain hemmorhage. She was born August 6, 1974 to Brian Burrough and Marleen Gordy in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Beth was the fourth of five children and was raised in Noble. She met and married her soulmate, Christopher Randel Brown and they wed in Norman on April 27, 1996. Beth and Chris have two beautiful children, Christen Emmaline, age 6 and Ezekiel Conrad, age 4, who were everything to her. Beth was the funniest, most lively person who enriched the lives of everyone she met. These traits helped lead her to a career in nursing, where she recieved her RN degree from Oklahoma City Community College on May 19, 2003. She worked for Norman Regional Hospital in Cardiac Care Unit, and Heartland Hospice helping care for terminally ill patients. Beth was an extremely spiritual person, and attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Noble. She enjoyed her calling with the Young Women Program, and was a member of the choir where she sang alto beautifully. Beth has many who love her and will carry her bright memory with them forever. Beth is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Leslie Gordy, and paternal grandparents Irvin and Anita Burrough. She is survived by her husband, Chris Brown; children, Emma and Zeke Brown; parents Brian I. Burrough and Marleen Gordy Roberts; siblings Brian K. Burrough, Brad White, Meredith White Siharath, and Jared Burrough. She will be also missed by her many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations for Emma and Zeke may be made out to St. John's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 2088, Norman, OK 73070 (in memo please note for Emma and Zeke Brown). Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on HWY 9 & Imhoff Rd. in Norman. Services are under the direction of Wilson Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
