I am new to this and VERY excited to be here!!

  1. Hello All!! I have been on here many times and have utilized many of your great ideas and help with my own studies. I have finally joined and I am really excited to be here. I am a freshmen nursing student, finishing my first year. I start my second in the spring semester with Psych. I am in the 3 year program and I really cant wait to finish. If anyone has any great tips on how to succeed in Psych, please.....I am all ears!!

    psych is a lot of observation because those drugs frequently have to adjusted to achieve desired effect

    Welcome to Allnurses. Psych was not "my cup of tea" in nursing school. I think that observation and listening are the best tools to use when you do your clinical. Do not believe eveything you hear from these patients either. I think this is a nursing area that you either like or dislike.
    Good Luck in your classes next year. You made it this far so you will be able to push on and graduate. Nursing is a great career to be in. The field of nursing is wide open with so many different areas and specialties to work in today.
