I am just plugging along...

  1. Hello everyone! I am 23 and from very upstate, New York. I am currently working on my RN part time so that I can spend as much time with my daughter as possible.

I also work part-time as a certified home health aide and I am new at it, so if there is anyone out there who has done it before and has any advice...I am all ears!

I look forward to this site and all it has to offer. I hope to become a familiar face (well, name anyways) to everyone! I don't have any real friends (there are few girls my age around here who are married with a child, so I don't fit in with anyone...along with being a student who is serious about what I am doing and where I am going...I am not a very good time for other 20 somethings) and my family is a bit skeptical about my abilities and if I can do this or not...so it will be a dream come true to have people who understand the things I talk about and to be able to laugh at those jokes that only someone in nursing would understand!

    God Bless You All!

I would also like to welcome you, I am a fairly new member myself. Congratulations on your perservation and strength. Nursing school is not an easy endeavor, but those two little letters open a whole world of possibilities to you. Just remember that it will all be worth it in the end. If you ever have any questions or need any advice just message me. Good Luck !!!!!!

    My sentiments exactly!
Welcome abigailfaith! In a couple years I plan to move to Upstate NY - so maybe we will really become familiar faces at that time. Until then, I look forward to seeing you around here.

Welcome, do what you know you need to do to better your life (and your daughter's) in the long run. You sound mature and committed, hang in there and don't hesitate to ask questions here. We all have even cried on each others' shoulders from time to time too, so don't be shy and don't be a stranger!
BTW, how old is your daughter? -- D

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! There is no doubt you will see me at my best and worst and it's great to know there are people out there who will understand!

Dianah-thanks! My daughter is 10 months.

Hello! My family is also a bit skeptical about me going to nursing program, but I'm sure I can do it. I'm sure you're giving it all your best and I'm sure you'll make it. Good luck!!! God bless :angel2:
