Does anyone out there hate Care Plans
I am a 47 year old male nursing student, almost through my 1st year in an ADN program. I am single with 5 cats, but I swear I'm straight (not that it matters). I work as an orderly (6 yrs) in a teaching hospital here in Morgantown, WV, but attend school 20 miles away and commute 40 miles to clinicals, so I have been living on 4 hrs sleep a night and food that can be eaten while driving. My doc says I'm in pretty good shape, for a man of 70, but I do plan to quit smoking, as soon as I'm not under so much stress.
I won't say this has been the toughest year I've ever had, but it's easily in the top 5. (Bottom 5?) It has been a convoluted path that brought me here--in my previous career, I was a carpenter--but I'm sure it will be worth it, in the long run. I don't do a lot of patient care in my present job, but it's the part I love, so I think I'm going in the right direction.
Well, I have homework to do, so bye for now.
