Same here. It seems like just about every want ad I ever see for health professionals wants people who are bilingual English-Spanish.

That's the main reason I'm learning Spanish along with the Chinese. Keeps me busy.

My first semester Spanish class. I found out that your more likely to get the job if your bilingual here in Texas. Have a two minute spanish speech next week Working on present tense and past tense right now..

I love it here! The people are so friendly!

I am right now working away in my Anatomy Coloring Book (3rd Edition, Benjamin Cummings is the publisher), on the page on mitosis (p. 9). I am right now almost finished with telophase, and then on to the daughter cells. This reminds me of the college biology class I took back in about 1990.

I wish ALL college classes were coloring, especially nusring school! lol Then, studying until 2 a.m. would actually be FUN! lol

Oh, I can HARDLY WAIT 'til nursing school! Oh, what GLORIOUS FUN awaits me! lol lol lol

But, at least when I finally get in, I'll already know something.

I already had two years of medical transcription classes in approximately 1999. Was unable to take a job when classes finished due to then-undiagnosed migraine equivalent and BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) which are now finally under good control.

Although it has been a while since I studied the medical stuff, it's all coming back to me.

And, I am very sure that it will be a big asset when I study nursing.

I also have fibromyalgia, and am seeing a chiropractor for it. Who else here has fibro? Curious.

Glad to hear that the book saved your gluteus maximus on the bones.

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but what, or where, is WNY?

It's getting near 80 F now where I live, and sunny! I am in hog heaven!

This is the first day when I have left the house in the morning wearing a short-sleeved shirt! I might even have to change from my jeans to my denim shorts, it is that warm! I love it!

I took the Reading and the Math placement exams today at the local tech colllege, and I scored in the top 2 percentile in Reading, and the top 22 percentile in Math!

I am blown away by such high scores, especially on the Reading test!

I wish all of you could see the look on the advisor's face this afternoon! She was beaming!
