I have been a lurker for a long time so thought I would at least introduce myself since I have started posting a little.
I started my nursing career as a CNA. 3 years in LTC and 2 yrs on a med-surg floor. I got my LPN and continued as a nurse on the same med-surg floor for 6 years. I decided I wanted to progress my career so I got my RN-ADN and left med-surge for home health/hospice work.
I did that for 3 yrs and went back to working in a hospital where I worked in GI lab ( 1 year ) and then ICU/ER for 2 years. I have now been working float pool for the past 3 years and love it. I recently went back to college for my MSN. Oh yes, somewhere in all that experience I did go back to school for my BSN.
I work in a great hospital with some really fantastic co-workers. When I float they are so incredibly nice and welcoming.
I have 2 kids ( both adults in college ) and 2 furkids ( dogs ).
Anyways, now that I have completely bored you all I will wrap this up.
