Hello, my name is Dorothy and I am an....

  1. Just kidding...
I am a nursing student in my 3rd semester, expected graduation day MAy 2007 (RN), and I live in TX.
The one thing different about me is that I have epilepsy (grand mol seizures). No, I am not ashamed of it at all and I don't have a need for being treated differently. My last one I had about 3 yrs. ago. It is totally controlled by medicine. Just wanted to say this 'cause I read that a few nurses were worried about having seizures and still being a nurse. I can actually relate better with patients who have this disorder. Nurses are just human like everyone else!

I took some extra classes over the summer to get my LVN prior to my RN and so I am a little nervous about the LVN board that I will have on the 8th of Sept. Have went through the Saunders Book/disc to study. Any suggestions???

I am interested in L&D, loved the clinicals there ( well, I went through the L&D process myself twice, haha), Neonatal ICU would be interesting as well.
