I am starting nursing school, LPN, next week and decided joining this forum would be a great asset. This new beginning comes after many years of working for Delta Faucet before they outsourced to China. As upsetting as this was it opened up a great opportunity for me; they are paying for my Nursing School and will continue to pay me until I finish. My intentions are to first attain LPN and then RN so any and all advice is welcome.
I am divorced and 3 children with only 1 of those still at home and she is a 19 year old college student so I am free to study endlessly and my $$ situation is enough to keep my bills paid while in school. My situation is practically perfect as most students have family and or jobs to juggle along with class however....I have been out of school some time and will have to make the ol' brain ready to store tons of new information.
Again, "Hello" to all

Congratulations to you as well. I am also starting my LPN program next week and I am very excited. I also plan on doing on obtaining my LPN license and then my RN license.
I am currently in the process of getting a divorce and I am a mother of two small children, but I am lucky enough to have a wonderful support group with my family. My family is helping so I can focus on school and not have to worry on finances and childcare. If anyone has any advice on how to cope and studying tips they would be greatly appreciated.
