Hello everyone...Nursing student from NJ :)

  1. Hello! I am a nursing student from new jersey and graduate in July as an LPN. I have learned a lot from this website so I decided to join myself. I am sure I will have some questions for all of you experienced people in the future, but for now...I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

    Happy New Year!

    G'day Colleen,

I am a still at uni until the end of 2007 studying to be an RN and I have a question for you (even though you are a newbie). What is an LPN?? I am from Australia and as far as I am aware we have no such title over here.

Best of luck with your studies.

Hi Brian...an LPN is a licensed practical nurse. In some states it is called an LVN, licensed vocational nurse. Do you have either one of these in your country? Good luck to you as well.

Hi! How are you? My name is Steph and I'll be graduating from LPN school in February, I know you're excited because I'm ecstatic!!! LOL! But anyways, I'm moving to Jersey this summer and I was wondering about how much do LPNs make in that area?

Nope, we don't have either down here in Oz. At least not in my state. We have EN's (enrolled nurses) and RN's (registered nurses). EN's do about 1 year of study at TAFE and RN's do 3 or 4 years at university.
