Greetings from California

  1. :spin: Yes, I am new to this website forum. I am a graduate from Nsg school. I am getting ready to take the NCLEX-PN. I have NCLEX book and the Q& A book that book that is recommended to study also. I am reading the NCLEX book and doing the CD's. I want to do all that I can so i can have alot of material covered. A friend of mine that took it also says: that in your Med-Surg book(we've probably forgotten) has alot of critical thinking questions in each chapter then the answers at the end of each Chapter. That helped her and most questions were similiar to those. The questions are alot critical thinking that you the nurse have to think. This information I've been told helps. During the test, Ive been told that the question seems easier than the answer and alot of the questions:roll have 2 answers that seem correct but you have to choose the best answer. ELIMINATION IS THE KEY WORD down to two possible answers. Going to get back to the material. Love to read any mail that comes my way

The exam is alway like that....two answers you can eliminate right away...and the remaining two....you really have to think about it.
I was a LPN up here in New York....and I passed the 1st time I took it....I just tried to solve as many questions as possible from those study guides....I brought one book....and I shared the book with my ex-classmate....and she shared her book with me.....I think that "practice" is the key word....By the way, don't forget to time yourself, when you are doing the problems in the computer.
    Goooood Luck!

Chuck1234-I do realize that you cannot eliminate 2 answers right away. But once you do then down to the next step till only one remains. Yes, that's good to time yourself. Sometimes I forget, good reminder. But yeah, going to do as many practice problems I can because each one is different and could have new information I could use. What was the main thing that was expected of you to know in med-surg? Considering that was your first NSG job?
